The Cimbi steering group consists of the center director, the PI's of the different Cimbi projects and the center manager. In the first life cycle of Cimbi (Cimbi-I, 2006-10), the steering group had a management meeting once a month. In the second lifecycle of Cimbi (Cimbi-II, 2011-15), the Council of Investigators (COI) group meetings have replaced the monthly steering group meetings and the steering group now has a more withdrawn role, primarily taking care of broader issues like economy and new strategic initiatives. The steering group now has only one scheduled meeting a year, right after the annual meeting.
The members of Cimbi's steering group are:
- Professor Gitte Moos Knudsen who is the center director and the PI of the projects focusing on molecular brain imaging of the serotonergic system and the genetic and biochemical determinants of the serotonergic transmitter system. She is based at the Neurobiology Research Unit at Rigshospitalet.
- Professor Terry L. Jernigan who is the PI of the project focusing on the relation between personality, biochemistry and brain structure. She is based at the Danish Resarch Centre for Magnetic Resonance at Hvidovre Hospital.
- Professor Hartwig R. Siebner who is the PI of the project focusing on functional brain imaging under serotonergic challenges. He is based at the Danish Resarch Centre for Magnetic Resonace at Hvidovre Hospital.
- Professor Mikael Begtrup who is the PI of the project focusing on the development of a PET agonist tracer to probe endogenous serotonin release. He is based at the Department of Medicinal Chemistry at the Danish University of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- Professor Lars Kai Hansen who is the PI of the project focusing on a meta-analytic approach to knowledge discovery in molecular brain imaging. He is based at the Department of Informatics and Mathematical Modelling at the Technical University of Denmark.
- Engineer Peter S. Jensen who is the center manager. He is based at the Neurobiology Research Unit at Rigshospitalet.
